I'm imagining a Tacoma that offers all the luxury features that you can't currently get on the Tacoma and maybe a V8.

I would like one, but couldn't afford one...I couldn't even get Wife to splurge on the TRD package.

they would ruin it just like they ruined the land cruiser. its no longer an offroad vehicle its a grocery getter. i like lexus but they need to stay away from trucks. plus, lincoln already proved there is little market for a luxury truck

Sorry but It was raining when i took the pic. A guy down the street from me has done a full-on Lexus conversion to his truck. (i.e.- strip off all the Toyota badges on the tailgate and grill and replace them with Lexus emblems) He actually has a billet grill on the front with the Lexus emblem. Not sure of the interior, but my guess is there's woodgrain! Oh yeah, chrome on EVERYTHING!

Hmm, last I checked I did the first ever oil change on any vehicle I've ever owned. And I fucked up, I owned up to it, asked for help from people more knowledgeable than I, and fixed the mistake. One I won't make again.

I'm sorry, I digress. What the fuck is your point?

Not enough of one and too much of the other I'm afraid. That's in succession too by the way. Apparently he thinks that someone who owns a Lexus would do their own oil changes. Not to say they don't but the niche for them is probably much lower than with Toyota owners.
Either way, his comment just puts forth the image of a big slice of douche berry pie.

I'd like one. Take the standard Tacoma and give the "Urban Runner" treatment & some parts from the bin or easily engineered ones from suppliers.

    http://www.toyota.com/4runner/special-edition.html

I'd add heated leather seats, 18" graphite wheels, graphite badges, no chrome, "grillcraft-style" black upper and lower grilles, electric sunroof, tilt out access cab windows, graphite or black crinkle tube steps, some sound deadening & insulation inside, a nice folding lockable tonneau & remote locking tailgate, HID lights, nav system, rear sway barand heated outside mirrors. The engine could use a bit more power - flowed injectors, bigger MAF and a revised ECU might do the trick.

    Whew!

Now if they will just deliver mine so I can get started!

    Ken (from Atlanta)
