Honestly the timing is pretty good. The reason I was down in the basement to notice the water is that I'm starting some renos down there. I was in the process of ripping up the old flooring anyway :)

But srsly, buying a house was the worst idea I've ever had; they soak up money as much as a vehicle and they don't even go fast. Its redeeming quality is that it gives me somewhere to have truck parts shipped to.

Well alrighty then, if i am to expect YOUR lovely demeanor in any future threads i start, ill make sure that i am:

    Homeless
    Hungry
    Unemployed
    and in terrible health.............

To everyone: In all seriousness. This thread was created in jest of my situation, and soliciting others to make light of their's. I did not intend to imply that my situation was to be compared and sympathized with on the same level as homelessness, starvation, grave illnesses, or any other situations that can be easily deemed more dire than my own.

I had a water heater leak, i am paying what i consider to be a chunk of change, i tried to start a thread of similair incidents to make light of it.

Learning experience for sure. Buying a house can change perspective on maintenance amd repair. Before this house i always lived in housing/apartments and was not exposed to issues that occur after living in a residence for longer than 3 years

BC location, are they getting slammed this winter? I have relatives all over MA complaining about ice dams. We had one here years ago that let water into the house. Fixed it so that even if it happens again - and it has - water can't come inside.

Yes, Ice dams are a big problem here this month.
I used to get ice dams and water leaks in the past, but after getting my attic spray foamed, I have don't have even the slightest icicle hanging off my soffits.

My roof still has a pile of snow on it while neighbors around me have half the roof snow and major icicles/dams.

The heat loss through the roof was significantly cut down.... big difference in energy cost too.

Very true, still cant complain about the run, its hard to repeat these days, was another great season though, and i had a feeling that the Green Bay Game would be hard to outdo in sheer upset greatness!

And February being more accurate, i probably would have drawn less "attention" with the title "February Sucks" hahaha
