EDIT/DISCLAIMER: For clarity, this thread was made for the sake of finding humor to go with untimely and unfortunate events....... in the event that that it is literally assumed that anyone who shares is looking for "pity" =P

Im starting this thread to vent about things that happened in 2015. Maybe others can contribute to this pity party so we can all feel better about our shortcomings so far in the year 2015!

    Ill start off with:

    01FEB15 - Im a Seahawks fan............
    07FEB15 - Taxman says i owe him $700........
10FEB15 - Waterheater sprung a leak in the middle of the night, water found least path of resistance - A hole in the catchpan where the drain pipe 1/2" away should have been attached.....
11FEB15 - Initial inspection reveals a roof leak seeping into a wall as well........ Not covered by insurance.
11FEB15 - Total cost so far including deductible for water damage $2000.................
12FEB15 - ......... and counting as i sit with double ear protection on, my house sounds like a busy airport with all of the air movers, de-humidifiers, and space heaters on full blast.
20FEB15 - Estimated date before hot water returns to my house.

Lets share our misfortunes and improve our mood's through one another's misery!

    Working on it.
Sorry to hear. Buddy of mine went home on vacation. His washing machine hose busted while gone. Water leaked from the 3rd floor for 6 days before he got home. Basement had 2ft of water in it...most of which was frozen rock solid. Almost 90% of his stuff was ruined. Ohh and he has a 2 month old baby. Damage is well over $25,000 and rising, insurance is of course taking there time so as of now, everything has been out of pocket. Things can always be worse. Hope 2015 starts going the other way for you.

Shit happens, we all have good years and bad years and this one is lining up to be on the bad side. It's gonna be expensive, it's a lot of change and uncertainty. I'm due to transfer and I really don't know where I'm going since my dream sheet got lost in the mix and I've seen everywhere I wanted to go slowly disappear off my list.

Theres more but...it's personal so. Yeah

Eeesh, started thread for a bit of humor, seems i touched a nerve in here.....

If you are looking for third world stories to not "Bore the shit out of you" then go to National Geographic or read about Doctors without Borders, not a TacomaWorld Thread trying to poke fun at one's own incident =D

OP - That's a lot to have to deal with in a few short month. You'll be in my prayers tonight.

Seriously - you have got to fucking be kidding me. . .Grow a pair. I'm surprised you didn't mention that the ferry was 3 mins late the other day.

Edited OP to clarify that i made this thread mostly to poke fun and find humor with each other about whatever untimely/unfortunate occurence we wished to share. No actual pity is sought, and no party need be organized ;)

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
I have a leaky roof too! Mine is letting water run down the wall behind my kitchen cabinets. I just noticed it the other day where the water was finally escaping the wall and pooling in the basement. I wanted to redo that part of the house anyway... I just wish it was later in the year. With 3 feet of snow on the roof it's not a good time to fix it.
