Cig plug for now. Once I get my Aux fuse block and dual-battery setup done, it will be hardwired. Nice thing about this cam is you can have it record via motion sensor when you are parked. So once I have full time power that won't kill my starter battery, I'm going that route.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Still lookin for a program to trim video. I'm recording 3 minute segments and that's the shortest I can go. Any help ?

Mine lets me do 1 minute intervals, which is nice. I use OpenShot to edit my videos. However, it is Linux based. If you are geeky enough, you can burn an ISO image of AV Linux and just boot off the disc. There's no installing and if you screw things up, it won't hurt your existing OS install.

    AV Linux

A little of this and a little of that.
It looks like I need to get a dash camera so you can see how "great" Atlanta traffic is.

Can these dash cams hold up to being in the windshield when its 100 degrees outside, or do you have to take them down in extreme weather? I have to park outside at work and sometimes at home.

Like any electronic device, they have their thermal and freezing limitations. My Dashcam will only operate within a specific range, but it is a broad range .. it's told me to piss off at -25 deg C by refusing to start with the ignition going on - and it's also shut itself down, on very hot days with direct exposure to the sun.

I take mine down during the summer months if the sun is going to shine directly on it.

Get a "eyebrow" tint up to the AS1 line on the front windshield. That might help

Next stupid thing I catch on my dash cam I'll have to post. I think all of my good stuff had been looped over already. I should have something soon enough being on a college campus though.

Here's a screen grab from Sunday. This asshat was wandering in and out of his lane for a good mile before I passed him and saw that he was scratching off lotto tickets. He was driving a commercial plumbing van. I won't include the video because I don't want people calling and harassing the company. I've already emailed the GM with the video and screenshot information.

This was actually a qoute on a board at Jimmy Johns. Pretty funny but hit the nail right on the head.

"Above all, the one thing that unites all humans, despite race, sex, height, weight, color or any difference, everyone thinks they are above average drivers".

    This couldn't be more true.

OP, you really have some bad drivers in the area you're in. I don't know how you don't have anxiety every time you go out.
