My understanding is that as forum mods, you get bored and feel the need to use your power. It's kinda like cops doing radar - they don't really have any real work to get done, so it's like "Might as well generate some revenue with my authority".

If they didn't ban anyone or look for reasons to do it, they'd not really be needed for the most part. It's a power trip thing.

Never said they did. If you look at my post the crux of the point is power, not making money. It's not like cops get bonuses or kickbacks for writing tickets, unless I'm mistaken. They get a nice early retirement and a fat pension however.

 

Respect the mods and the service they provide or go somewhere else
