what do you expect? yeah he tailgated you which means he was in the wrong. but slowing down to 10 is gonna do nothing but piss him off. you were in the wrong there. then when he tried to pass you (which is the obvious move when the guy in front of you is doing 10mph) you speed up. once again, you were in the wrong. lastly, why would you want to fight a 50 year old? you weren't in the wrong but come on, grow up. and lastly, you need carbon enforced knuckles to fight a guy? sounds to me like you were both in the wrong but you took it too far.

My bike does 176mph (Autobahn FTW!). So anytime one of those retards try to kill me, I just point and squirt. Best to just get away from the situation. You neve know which gun enthusiast (or criminal) is packing.

600's, yeah very fun in the twisties if you're a good rider and know the roads. But my 230lb ass needs a bigger bike to get around. You might escape me in the twisties, but I'm gonna eat you everywhere else ;)

I don't like following motorcycles, especially when it's dark. I find it very difficult to judge my distance, so I stay as far away as I can.

reading comprehension is your friend ;)

I slowed down because how else do you make someone pass you? Plus, there was already traffic in front of me, so I wasn't going anywhere fast anyways. I already drive 24K miles a year in congested traffic in the car. The last thing I need is some asshole flicking me off when I am out trying to enjoy my bike.

I would have no problem with someone passing me, except for when they start flicking me off and swearing at me. That's a sure fire way to put me over the edge. Plus, if he is acting like this now, whats to say he doesn't brake check me when he is in front of me? I rather be in front of someone like that than behind them.

I didn't want to fight him, I just wanted to kick his door in for being such an idiot.

I was going the speed limit with traffic in front of me. there is no reason to tail anyone in a situation like that, especially on a bike. every hear that phrase that you should treat people how you want to be treated?

I agree with what Ridgerunner and ND have said. If he flips you off, so be it. If someone flips you off and screams at you, let it go...No need to escelate anything, and why give him so much of yourself by giveing him a reaction? Next time, Nod, rest easy, and enjoy your ride. Everyone on here is just concerned for your safety. Hes in a car, your on a bike. One flick of his wheel and your life could be horribly altered....and for what?
    My $0.02. Ride safe. :)

+1. Just because you know you may legally win, you will physically lose if you get in an accident while on your bike.

i accomplished my goal by having him not ride behind me. he passed me and was next to me. dont know what else to say...if i didnt speed up he would have just cut me off as we were coming to a stop anyways. imo, it was safer to speed up than let him cut me off and possibly getting rearended by having to slam the brakes more.

Another thing to consider, if it happens again, it could be a time to pull over and stretch your legs. By then, the A hole is gone, and you can continue the ride. :)

might be a stupid question, but wouldn't punching off mirrors and kicking in doors only expose you to the chance that the driver may retaliate by RUNNING YOUR ASS OVER?

I call bullshit on you eating me everywhere else...My 600 will do at least 162...and then I had back down and to turn to stay on the track (I'm jealous about that Autobahn run btw)...I'd love to find out tho...

+1- If you get that angry cause someone else does something stupid then you aren't listening to/thinking about your bike or watching as carefully as you might need to be to save your own life.
Throttle jockeying and fucking around with some dipshit in a 2000+ lbs run you over machine just isn't good form-Let him roll on and be his pissed off little self and you live to ride another day.

Hmmm....Me thinks an Keyboard bike race is comming up.....

FWIW, A slow rider on a fast bike will loose to a Fast rider on a slow bike....A guy at our local track used to HAND ME MY ASS, when I had at least 50+ hp on him....Quite humbling.

i concur. my (ex) buddy used to have an R6. I had an older 600 ninja. he couldn't turn worth a damn on that bike. I would have to keep waiting for him to catch up. he, of course, thought he was gods gift to the biking world with his new flashy bike.

next time I will turn off the road and stretch my legs a little
