This thread is not to make fun or reprimand people on searching before you post. But there are some methods that will help you find things much better than just searching a keyword.
First off, think outside the box. If you want to see how a certain mod will look on your color truck, go here. After you have clicked on the color of your choice, use the "search this thread" option at the top of the thread. Just enter in the modification you want to see into the search and see what results it yields.
Next, use the sub-forums to narrow your search instead of searching the whole site. The moderators do a great job of moving threads around to keep them in the right sections. Go to that subforum and use the "Search This Forum" option at the top of the thread list.
Examples:
If you are looking for a certain type of suspension lift, then go to the "suspension and lift" sub-forum. Then in the "Search this forum" option, type what you are looking for.
If you are looking for wheel/tire information, then go to the "Wheels and tires" sub-forum and follow the steps above.
Some more helpful information is that the search function follows the basic boolean search system. Using quotations around phrases will cause the search to look for that EXACT phrase:
If you search Suspension lift it will return any post that contains those two words anywhere in it.
If you search "Suspension lift" it will return threads that only contain that exact phrase.
Furthermore, you can use the letter "x" as a wildcard if you arent sure how to spell a word exactly (or how someone spelled it in a post you are looking for).
If you use the word "AND" ("xxxx AND xxxx") it will return results that contain both of the words in the search.
Using the word "OR" (xxxx OR xxxx) will yield results that contain wither of the words that surround "OR"
Using "NOT" (NOT xxxx) will exclude the results containing the word(s) after "NOT"
