    That means you have over heated it. It's the result of a low duty cycle. SLOW DOWN

    im freaking out over here
    i just ran a 20 amp seperate circuit for this thing....
    i have a 20 amp breaker and 22' of 12/2 to its own outlet....
    it turns out before i was on a 15 am breaker:eek:
    and now it over heats.....

    so do u mean slow down with the amount of welds or slow down while welding

    The amount of welds. The duty cycle on these 120VAC welders is low in comparison to big high dollar units.

    now with new breaker 10 welds and temp.....

    make sure you push your welds.. dont drag them looks like flux core rod. i hate the shit.

    i have been doing pulling the welds.....and yes its .35 flux cored wire
    eventually i will hook up the gas....
    so your saying try n push the weld.....
    will do.....

    anyone know where to find some cheap metal to practice on
    dude over here wants $70 for a 3' x 4' sheet of 11 gauge sheet metal

    I was always taught to drag with flux core. If you go the other direction, you end up throwing slag all over the area you're about to weld and you can't control your arc as it will start jumping all over the place. In the end it will look like a big booger if you push the puddle with flux.

    My grandpa referenced a goofy phrase to remember as a general guide - "if there's slag, you want to drag"
