Need some plumbing advice.

 

Need some plumbing advice. I want to make my washer drain less ghetto. I'm thinking if I take the cap off the T and put it where the T attaches to the rest of the pipe it will eliminate this mess. Then for the drain I want to add to the right on the black plastic pipe in the first picture. I guess that's a clean out where the screw on end is where the black pipe from the far right attaches to the main drain. If I add another Y at the end of that ill still have the end for a clean out and have the washer drain come in on the top of it.

If I'm not mistaken and we are both looking at the same items, that "tee" is actually a check valve which prevents water from flowing back into your washing machine. That is needed because you also have sewer/septic running into the same pipe and out into your septic system, without that check valve, you will absolutely get toilet water running into your washing machine drain line.

Definitely a ghetto setup, but please do not try and remove that cover and tie into it.

I'm sure I didn't explain it very well, but you need to look at the first picture too and that's where I want to tie it in. I want to cap off the check valve or remove it and cap off where it was.

Yea I know I need to check the owners manual for the washer. But if it can go that high, does everything else sound right?

 

Not to mention the washer line is BEFORE THE HOUSE TRAP

 

He may have to relocate the washer. You don't see house traps that often anymore.

Checked owners manual, washer can pump 96" maximum vertical. And I'm going to have it on a platform so maybe 5' total so the height should be fine to tie it in where the kitchen sink drain comes from far right

What? How would that take an hour? I still would have the pipe going through the wall that's cast iron. Unless you're saying dig up the back yard and re do all the pipe out to the street too...

 

Tie in the washer above the trap into the 2" ABS drain
