Uhhh yea axes also split wood. Maybe try sharpening yours or go to home depot on days that aren't holidays.

What an axe. It splits? Try the crappy maul some day, comes with familiar crappy fiberglass handle and crappy steel. Also splits. Maybe even better. Really though I'm okay with you liking that axe.
I don't go to Home Depot for an axe, but a friend has that axe and it cuts like a pipe and the edge is garbage, and I'd never buy a hand tool without a wood handle.
