I picked up my new wheels in Oceanside, on the way home I got a fuggen 87 in a 65 :(. Thank god he got me at those speeds, I was going a lot faster before hand. It's my first ticket ever, only after 2 months of having my license.

its a helluva lot cheaper to go the speed limit and speeding really doesnt save that much time, especially when this happens

yes to a degree. normally if he is using laser he is checking other people also and it will pick up the people in front of you that he is checking. but if he if using the normal ka band you will pick it up in plenty of time.

good luck with that thought

you can get any radar detector on the market...they MIGHT pick up one of the K bands in time for you to slow down before youre registered with it...LIDAR wont set your detector off until its aimed at your vehicle...and by that point...youre speed has already been recorded

Theres a good possibility that the officer can also visually estimate your speed (in sc to be radar/LIDAR certified you have to be able to visually estimate within 3mph) and then once he identifies a speeder, clock you

Some of the instant-on radar units can record your speed twice...yes...twice...before your detector will go off...
