It's rated by owner satisfaction. Most people are retards thus, that ranking is retarded.

The results aren't any better when the criterion is dependability rather than satisfaction. In the 2009 JD Power dependability survey (based on 2006 models) the Tacoma rated no better than 3rd in any of the 4 categories (Overall, Powertrain, Body / Interior, and Features / Accessories).

    A few bolts are different.
Does it have to do with inside luxury of the trucks too? The hummer interior is sweet, imo and the ridgline, well....I just dont like that thing at all. but alot of people buying a truck these days want that luxury. I dont care too much about the luxury I want toughness, alot of truck pussys dont

Anyone who puts stock in the relativity of ANY JD Power survey needs their head examined.

My personal fav is the "initial quality/satisfaction" survey. You just bought a NEW car...OF COURSE you'll be happy with it. Saying you are not satisfied says you're a dork and didn't make a wise decision. In other words...yer a tool.:anonymous:

I find this funny..."Owners rate it highly in most areas, but particularly for its car-like driving quality" I would not like my truck as much if it drove like a car IMO.

Kinda funny how all these people compare Trucks to cars....I mean.....How many car reviews do you read or hear of in which the tester piles 1400# of shit on the roof, or takes it off road, and says....."The Toyota Tercell has less pay load capacity than a truck, and it scored low points when being driven through woops in our off road test"

    Bwahahaha ...

But seriously ... It's not surprising that the Tacoma didn't do that well in the dependability survey. Their latest survey was based on the 2006 model year - which means it covered the period when several new-model bugs were being identified and dealt with (for example, the widespread problems with the new Aisin 6-speed manual tranny).

Maybe all those Ridgeline owners actually filled out that stupid survey they received and didnt throw it in the trash the way I did. You can blame me.

If they rank it by owner satisfaction then most owners of vehicles are sheep and probably buy it for some half assed reason where they should've bought a car or something in the first place. So by owners and non-owners who care, the Tacoma got first.

Dont worry guise at least we have frames...unlike ridgeline owners (granted our frames rust...but dammit it's not a unibody atleast.)
