 Tom breaks the sequence, throws in a pffft, and I get the " bad Rob."

But I guess Lisa is off camping so somebody had to throw out a mad smiley for no good reason to ensure world order is maintained. :D

    Will there be pics?

Finally got me grass cut and everything trimmed out. :)

Hope the weekend was good for all.

I see the fire made a run for Kasilof over the weekend. :( Got any more updates than what I'm seeing on KTUU?

Last I read this morning 140,000 acres+ and 1300 evacuated (2nd homes/retirees). Ash showing up in Anchorage. Smokey here all day. :(

That looks like an awesome spot. I always like your shadow pics.

HOpe no one loses their house.... I know they're at mother nature's mercy there since they don't have any fire hydrants, defensible space, etc.

It was a great spot, not a place I would camp in the summer though since there's no shade. There were truckloads of bear hunters up there - they came on horseback mostly and were all empty handed - and a few other campers but wasn't crowded at all.

yeah, me too. The only thing that'll help now is a few days solid rain; which I doubt we'll get. Tankers are in from all over now I guess; Mitch said he heard some are in from Russia even. Haven't tried to verify that yet. Hopefully they can stop it short of the more heavily populated areas. The rest is gonna have to be left to burn back on itself. It's a bad situation. :(

EDIT: Kristi will be happy to hear the bear hunters were empty handed.

We had a 180lb. Black bear in lower bucks county this past weekend (heavily populated area). DCNR was trying to capture it to relo it. Poor guy got hit by a car & busted a leg. They ended up putting him down. :(

They're lucky the lake is there to create a natural barrier...and it can only burn south a little while longer before it hits the ice fields

I was glad the hunters didn't get any either...it meant they weren't seeing the bears and maybe there weren't any in the immediate area so I was safe in my camp spot

Hi Brandon, been on vacation for 3 weeks and before that supervising the rebuilding the rear walls(leaked around the windows when it rained) on our clubhouse. Builder repaired it once and did it ass backwards. All the over laps of the felt around the windows was done top to bottom:eek:...now we're doing it right:thumbsup:...pictures show some of the rot and the size of the job. Siding is up and stone is to be started today. Total job is about $75,000. Vacation was great but a lot of travel. Krakow, Prague, Budapest, Vienna and Dubrovnik. Glad to get home.

Morning all:wave:...heres a couple of pics for Mike(Delmarva). We were in the main square in Krakow and 3 guys were trying out the drone and camera set-up they had. It drew quite a crowd. It was about 2 1/2 feet across and the guy flying it was pretty good.
