    Thats why I only pulled permits for things that would be noticed when I sell.... shed/deck/fence. Cost me $20 because at the time I was dating the guys daughter and I drew all my own plans. When I do my roof it will be a one day job regardless of damage to the plywood. If I take any longer I risk getting caught by L&I. If I get caught I need to pull permits and re-frame for today's standards. I'm not re-framing my roof because I need new shingles. My house has been standing since 1964 perfectly fine as is and has no deflection under current snow loads. Everyone in my hood has roof parties so they can get them done in a day. Pretty common practice here.

    Luckily I never had to deal with Philly residential BS just commercial and I never pulled permits - it's always on the GC. At most we would have to submit lift/scaffold plans to the GC for city approval when we needed a street closed for a crane or were impeding on the sidewalk with scaffold/lifts.
