Anyone have experience with a particular online poker site that plays real cash games? Let's pose a hypothetical and ask, if one were so inclined, is there a site that provides secure deposit and withdrawl, has proven to be very easy to work with, and does not require you to sign up with a money manager account?

    Disclaimer:
I have not, nor would I ever gamble in the state of Virginia other than state sanctioned lotteries and driving on the beltway.

haha, i like that disclaimer. Personally, i dont like online poker. i use to play the free games just to kill time back in college, but when you're playing for money its completely different than playing in real life. I love poker and gambling but not online. First of all i dont trust it, and second you cant read people or feel out tables. Sorry i dont have an answer for ya, but if you come down to SC we'll go to the coast and head out on a casino boat. So far my record is winning $1000 in one hand of Hold 'em. I know it's poor poker etiquite but i cashed out right there. I was unemployed and cared more about the money than leaving the table with a good image. Man this thread makes me want to play cards again....

Absolutely agree. I prefer a table to a computer any day. It's just that most of the people I play with are musicians, I've got a day job. They play late on weeknights and I've only got weekends free unless I want to drag ass the next day.
If I can get a weekend free I'll have to head that way and we'll tear up some floating tables., or at least get drunk on a boat. Either way, we win!

i was in iraq last year and played poker 4-5 nights a week. i also used to play on pokerstars for free and for cash. i think it's gotten harder to get money to them to play, but u still can. i got on there one night...deposited $50 and in a lil over an hour i left w/ right at $200...and that was playing .05/.10 hands...haha

Actually what sucks is the only time i dont drink is when i play cards, which really sucks cause drinks are free on the casino boats. It only took me about 5 times of losing from going all in to realize that when i'm drunk i'll bet any hand all the way to the end. drinking while playing ends up costing me alot of money...

That was why I said "or". I'll have a drink or two while really playing, but they last a long time. If it's just a nickel-dime game with friends it's a different story
