...on laxatives! i have a friggin colonoscopy tomorrow so today i take 4 dulcalax tabs at 1, they recommend you take no more than 3 a day. then a full 10 oz bottle of magnesium citrate at 2. then at 5 i get to chug 10 days worth of miralax in 2 hours. plus i cannot eat or have any colored liquid except for chicken broth till tomorrow morning. so i guess its shitting, shitting, and more shitting for me today. id like to mow grass but i dont see that working out to well...damn

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Well, If you mow the grass you can fertilize at the same time. Just trying to look on the positive side here.

Man, they have you taking it all... I feel for you... been there done that. You will survive...

I had to do 2 tabs at noon, then mix the miralax with 64 oz of gatorade (any except for orange or red) and drink 8 oz every 15 min until gone, then take 2 more tabs at 6 (I didn't take them  - didn't need to). I had the idea I'd cut my grass that day, too, but it didn't work out :D

One of the guys I worked with just had to do the mirilax... he had to mix his with three bottles of gatorade (and he could do orange). He had to start at 5 and drink 8 oz every 15 min until he'd downed 64 oz. Then 3 hours before the procedure, which was at 7:30am, he had to down the last quart.

You won't feel like eating anyway :D put a table in "the" room and take your lap top.... will help pass the time

Why are you having a colonoscopy....you're kind of young to be getting one! I'm pretty sure they recommend them when you turn 50

hmm, they told me i could only get gatorade ice, which i cant find anymore and i didnt know if i could drink any other kind so im going to mix lemon flavored propel because i can drink that with the miralax and just drink it that way.

as for tomorrow, im getting versaid (sp?). ive had it before and love it lol. you pretty much are given it then you black out and "wake up" later after its done thinking you passed out but you were really awake the whole time just dont remember a thing. so no laptop time for me, just the versaid.

You can keep the versaid - I told my doc NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I meant for today the laptop...

It's like every doc has their version of what to take the miralax with. Mine said no orange or red, but that was it.

I put my cocktail in a bucket of ice so it was GOOD AND COLD... went down real smooth :D Just tasted like gatorade.

It's better to find that early.... before it turns to cancer. The same guy I mentioned earlier lost his wife last year to colon cancer. She was 58 yo and never had the colonoscopy until she was having major issues. The doc told her husband that if she'd had the procedure when she was 50, they would have caught the pollups (sp?) and it never would have turned.

The prep is the worst part since you said you like the versaid

haha ok yeah i have the laptop and sunday paper i can read up on today. i love versaid, especially when you have procedures like this where you dont remember a thing. as much as i hate to have this procedure but i would rather know everything is ok than to put it off longer and it grow to a big issue one day.
