Friend wants to part out her '96 Accord V6... We figure since its not in the best shape its worth more money to part it out than it is to actually try to sell it as is... Question is, how does one go about parting out a car?

Advertise it on Craigslist, people will come and take what they want off it. If you or her don't know how to do it, I'm thinking you probably shouldn't do it. How much more do you think it'll be worth in parts instead of whole?

RIP to my 08 Prerunner DC
Probably should go find a thief ask where the nearest chop shop. Then just walk inside find the friendly looking people and ask. Don't really try this cuz they might take you for a cop then tie you down, cut your nuts off, and then take the belt sander to your face. lol just normal torture procedure. Really I world go out with a tool box and just start taking things a part and list them on ebay.

    to be determined
the best way to part out is through an enthusiasts forum such as this one, but usually you have to be a member for so long to sell so that often limits what you can do how soon. get a price list of all the parts or most of them and decide early on what you are going to sell the parts for. Personally i think about 50-60% of retail is fair. go from there
