My wife won't let me MOD her 4-runner, but matinence yes.

She was a little mad at first because when we bought the taco she was under the impression that It was prefect the way it was, but I think she is over it now. As long as we have the money to burn, she doesn't mind anymore. The deal is if I spend X amount of dollars on whatever that she thinks is stupid then she gets the same X dollars for what ever she wants that I think is stupid. Fair enough, it just means that MODS cost me double . Alot of my MODS have been birthday & X-mas gifts from her :).

For serious, I think everything that mjp2 is doing with his truck is badass and I'm enjoying learning everything along the way. It is expensive as sh*t to accomplish but as I keep trying to tell him, the payoff will be worth it when he crosses the finish line.

My wife was mad at first, but she got over it. I have already spend 1600 dollars getting the stuff for my audio equipments (raammat, amps, sub, box, etc) and i just ordered a DNX9140 will pay for it at the end of the month and that was 1200, and i want the rollbak for the bed. Thats priced at a 1,000 also. Ahh Thats the most she will let me do. I plan to do the front grill, but i would have to wait on bday money before i can do that... since i want to get another grill so i have the factory one to fall back on.

Have you considered painting/installing one at the end of your driveway?

my girlfriend actually encourages me to spend money on stuff for myself. i have no idea why she doesn this and i dont ask (i'm afraid if i ask it will go away). but i wanted to buy something not truck related taht was around $2500. something completely stupid, and when i asked what she thought i was expecting to catch hell but she was just like "go for it". same thing with the shotgun i just bought. i said, financially its not a good time but i really want it. she pointed out that i had been looking for it for over a year and if i didn't get it now it might be a while before i could get it again so she said to get it. same thing with truck stuff. i'm very lucky in terms of having a cool girl

    Nope!

My husband never complains. Whatever I want...I can get.

Besides, I never complain about him buying stuff. It's nice not having any kids. ;)
