I'm so ready. Been like a roller coaster lately, weather wise. 70* one day snow the next. Still need to hit the slopes at least once this year though.

What does spring get everybody else into hobby wise? Hiking, camping, biking, gardening, fishing?

I've got about 5 friends wanting to go on a motorcycle trip down to South TX 1st of May. This will be PT '08. (Puss tour '08) a short 4 or 5 day ride. The big one is going to be Aug. for 2+ weeks and about 5200 miles planned so far. :D

    A thing or two...
I'm ready for spring. I've already started biking again though. As long as it's around or above freezing in the morning and the wind isn't supposed to be too bad. Already done 118 miles since the first of the year. With daylight savings this sunday and warmer weather, I'll start riding even more.

    I'll also start shooting more.

Here it is only way too hot (summer) and not so hot (fall, winter, spring). Seasons have absolutely no meaning out here.

I can't wait to get in my pool. I checked the water temp yesterday, it was 70 degrees . I can't get in till the water gets to 80 degrees. Damn cold weather, it's gonna get down to 36 Saturday night!!!!! That will drop the temp down again.....

Camping out of the truck or backpacking? I'm originally from the Ozarks in MO. Float trips on the Curent river into AR camping on the sand bars and lots of cold beverage. Trees, water, humidity are a rarity here in N. TX but the weather will keep you guessing for sure and you better like the wind.

Hey Concrete, I hear ya! !! I don't know how you folks in Rochester stand the winters! !! Reminds me of last year (07) this time I was in your town for Kidney surgery in the middle of a snow storm. I was depressed enough without that! !! Spring is right around the corner so hang in there! ! We are just getting rain here in Binghamton:)

Thanks Don ! I have to admit it gets real pretty when a snow like this occurs, we hang around the fireplace a lot and read or if it's not to bad I'll take the camera out, but that fun wears off quick. You're right though, it's right around the corner :bananadance:

well, the last couple of times we "camped out"(what some people call it...not me), it was basically out of truck, in a campground, with a tent.....but from the truck nonetheless:rolleyes:. i havent done my kind of camping/backpacking lately(my dad, who is also my camping buddy, is in pretty bad health nowadays).....which is hiking in 6 to 8 miles at the pisgah natl forest, setting up camp, fishing for food, and hiking/exploring the rock walls, caves and creeks/pools/streams there!! thats my kinda camping/hiking!! i will be back at it soon enough though!!:)

Although I'm ready for spring, I'm getting dissappointed by this lame-ass "winter storm". I like storms whether it's thunder and lightning on a hot summer night, or 18" of snow with high winds and drifting. As far as storms go, this one sucks.
