it doesnt matter if people get offended. We say merry christmas, because the holiday is called christmas. Just like we say happy thanksgiving on thanksgiving. What are they supposed to change the name of the fucking holidays now? shit, next someone is gonna get offended when people say happy birthday. People need to shut the fuck up and stop being so fucking anal about every little thing. God, people are stupid. ( not u cmack, Just the people who get offended at stupid shit):)

I'm actually all for tolerance of other religions, traditions, etc. I respect what they do and do not wish to offend anyone.

BUUTT, tolerance is a two-way street. If I am supposed to respect and tolerate their crap, they need to respect and tolerate my crap too.

So if someone at the table next to me wishes someone a Happy Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Festivus/Winter Solstice/etc then would I get my panties in a twist? Hell, no... everyone should be able to do what they want to do. Well, everyone except for us Christmas folks apparently.

Fuck Political Correctness, it will be the downfall of our country as we now know it. This place is becoming a nanny-state as we speak and the masses are more worried about offending the god-damn minorities than they are about supporting our troops and giving praise to God.
A lot of this "have to be politically correct" mentality comes from the spineless pussy Liberals and Democrats. So let me just say this, Merry Christ-Mas, to you pussy ass Liberals. Grow a spine and quit whining about things that offend you. Seriously, you Libs are the reason our nation is going to become some third world country in the future.

i believe the correct thing to say these days is "happy holidays" then you are not singling out any particular religion or belief. <-sarcasm
it could be quite funny to go back into the restaurant dressed up as santa claus or as mary and joseph just to see how the staff reacts.
and why is it okay to offend people who do celebrate christmas but not okay to offend those that dont?

i think people are offended cause they choose to be. most of those types of people also choose to be assholes on a daily basis. there i said it. if you dont like it go back to the begining of what i just wrote and read again. and to everyone else have a very merry christmas and a safe holiday. ps. GOD BLESS america and its troops. sue me for that one too.
