I'm not sure how it is anywhere else, but its kinda rude in the south to go into somebody elses house with your shoes on, unless they tell you its ok. I still take mine off anyways cuz all I ever wear are slip on boots. But in my own house I usually wear them in, but take them straight off when I get to my closet.

I have no pavement around my house so floors are a lost cause. I have to wear shoes or suffer from grocery store feet or gray sock. I found some socks with gray bottoms at walmart, I think they were designed for my house. I also have stickers that are spread around like serbian landmines. Those are enough to keep your boots on.

    Merry Christmas!!!

I don't wear my shoes when I take a shower. Also, I remove them before going to bed. Sometimes I put slippers on. Heck, I've even been known to put sandals on. There are instances when I don't know what's on my feet. One day a few years back I just wore socks. Sometimes I put boots on. Other times I wear tennis shoes. I wear cowboy boots once in a while. Once I didn't wear anything on my feet.
