My Tank did just fine having his chopped at 6 months. Our older maled developed prostrate issues at 7 years old - not fun watching your buddy piss blood.... Plus, Tank doesn't get crazy around female dogs. If you're not a breeder, have him chopped - he'll be fine the next day.

It makes boy dogs less prone to biting someone, less aggressive with strangers, less worry about your dog getting loose, and its best if you do it as early as possible

Fix him. It's the responsible thing to do if you're not gonna breed.

Ha! He has taught me how to open the door any time he wants to go out and lay in the sun and I think that is his favorite trick. Actually he is pretty much fully potty trained now :woot: . We are slowly working on the basic commands and he learns quickly, such fun. Oh my bf says the best thing is the annoying lab across the street is afraid of Tank and won't come over to play ie. run around like a spaz anymore . I'll get some new pics up soon ;).

Hey another Tank and he sure is beautiful!!

Get him neutered soon. We rescued a larger dog that was approx 2-3 years old from the local shelter and had him fixed before bringing him home. It seemed to make him much lazier and he has gained about 15 lbs. I'm all for neutering, but I think it needs to be done sooner than later. We've never had this issue with our other dogs that were neutered at a younger age.

Thanks Foxy - he's a great dog. The only real problem is he's a 70lb lap dog! :)

I spoke with the breeder I got him from and she's all for choppin him.she told me to try to wait untilled his 1yr mark to help him develop the masculine male look if his behavior will allow it. He's right at 6 months now and is still very well behaved so I'm gonna wait it out as long ad we can then he will go under the knife. Through all my research I found some little dog nut implants called neuticles to put them back in after his are gone. Any one else heard of these or done them?

Like I said before, If you really need your dog to have nuts to feel like a man than you have to be pretty insecure.

LOL, Tank too, he'll be a year old in a few more weeks. The vet said he'd be 90lbs when full grown, I'm starting to believe her, he hasn't really even started to fill out yet, still tall and skinny.

I have one of those too :D

Such a cutie! Mine was about 90lbs in his prime and now that he is a senior with arthritis he is down to 75lbs.

The dad of my Boston Terrier is just over a year old and not fixed yet, he is very thick and muscular. My bf would like our pup to 'develop' a little before he gets neutered, so I'm going to see what he's like at 6 months and every month after that, but no older than a year.

My mutt has been neutered since he was a pup and he is the most mellow dog ever, it's great! Oh and all the dogs still think he is the most handsome guy in the park .
