    What backup software does everyone like for XP? I'd prefer a free version.

    I'll be backing up to a removable hard drive. I'd like to be able to have access to individual files on the backup drives.

    i just use windows live one care, but its not free. so far i havent had any probs w/ it

    Well, it's not free but I like the software that came with the Western Digital MyBook (Premium or Home Edition). It's an external USB hard drive. It allows you to schedule automatic backups at regular intervals.

    nt backup is free and comes with windows. Doesn't do individual files that you could browse the drive to open/restore, but you can restore individual files through the backup software. I've used it a few times at work.
