I had a friend who was big into lucid dreaming a while back. That's how I found out about it. I've had a bunch and they are great. I love reading and thinking about that kind of stuff. I don't have the motivation to really practice stuff during the day in order to trigger them more often though. Astral projection was another interesting thing to read about.

whats creepy is sometimes when you have that paralyzing feeling, u arent dreaming. ur brain shuts off ur muscles when sleeping so u dont move around and disturb the sleep.a lot of times when ur laying in bed and u try to move you're not dreaming.

I think it's probably easier when your a kid. Now a day's I have a hard enough time just sleeping. Are brains are too busy thinking about work, school, finances and stress to relax.

Yeah... I read that's the reason I felt like I couldn't move. Your body protects you when you dream so that you don't break toes or fingers or worse by thrashing around as a result of dreams.

Another reality check I've heard of related to looking at your hands... Make some sort of mark on your hand, and keep it there all the time. (Something small and or descrete that others might not notice... like a small drawing on your wrist that would be covered by your shirt or watch.) If you look down and see the mark, you're awake. If you look down and it's not there, you're dreaming.

I have lucid dreams all the time. Usually if I am having a good dream, And am awoken by something I can usually fall back to sleep and continue said dream.
As for astral projection, Call me a freak, or weirdo, But I used to be able to do it as a young teen. Not really on command, But it did happen.

im not going to lie. lucid dreaming is pushing me farther away from religion. because things that i use to think were signs or visions. were just my mind...

    sad but, whatever

Bumping this thread...because I had this shit happen recently. I knew about it prior, but didnt really do anything with it then out of the blue it happened one night.

Holy balls what an experience. Now I have to figure out how to do it consistently!

Let me know when you master astral projecting and OBE, now that's some crazy shit. Natural high for life, there's youtube vids on how to do it and also helps when a certain frequency is heard almost like white noise
