 moose with "Os" was taken when I applied for my personalized plates; "MQQSE" was available. I carried it over when I joined TW.

Actually had a Trooper pull me once and tell me my plate was registered to different vehicle. I asked if he realized those are Qs? He went and looked again, then told me to "get outta here."

Since everone is up anyways, I'll just ask the questions here.

I need to get off of the Boost Mobile network with Sprint. They have been great to me for the last 5 years.

Had to get a new phone because I sent my last one swimming. No biggie, I kill phones pretty regularly.

The kicker is that Sprint no longer allows personal wi-fi hot spots (teathering) with their new phones. I didn't find this out until 3 days after I got the new phone. Lets face it, there are things one can do with their own devices that you can't do with a company owned PC with the internet. I like to use the Kindle app to get books for the tablet and I would turn on the hot spot for 2-3 minutes and get the book. Can't do that now. Get the porn image out of your head too, wife used the tablet as well. I just want to get to the internet and download a book or check some of the social networks that are forbidden on the work PC.

I can do everything one my phone that I can do with the tablet, I just really like reading with a 10" tablet. I just got these fuquing bifocals too, so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it as well.

I like buying my own phones and I like being able to buy a phone cheaply off CL or whatever when I kill a phone. it was easy to be up and running using Sprint previously.

Verizon now has the EDGE, non contract phone system. Anyone using this and is it comparable to Sprint? I know nothing about the Verizon network in my area except that it has wonderful coverage.

I'm seriously looking at the HTC M1 8 as the next phone. The previous HTC phone before this S-4 was a more durable phone and didn't feel as cheep. I dunno. Reviews will be appriciated as well.

I really don't expect any great info from this thread, but I figured it was GS BS and I think my post qualified.

    As usual, thanks in advance

    Kirk

Kirk I have Verizon and basically what the edge plan is you buy a phone for the full retAil price that is split up into 24monthly payments and after 6 months of pAyments you can upgrade to a new phone as long as you pay for half of the cost of your previous phone and turn it in for the new one you are upgrading to.
I don't pArticularly care for this plan myself, but with the way new phones are consistently coming out and if you like to have the latest and newest one out this Could be the plan for you.

I have regular verizon thru a corporate phone contract. All I know is their coverage can't be beat. I have yet to drop a call, anywhere.

Thanks for the input, guys and gals. Gots a lot of thinking to do.

    Someone said porn, what?!

Haha anyway I dislike the Edge or similar programs. Trust me the companies are NOT loosing money and you're not saving very much money if any.

I moved from Verizon to T-Mobile and for my needs it works. The coverage in town is good, but once I get out of the metro area or the two major towns south and north of here there's just 2G voice or nothing. There is coverage up in the popular ski areas though. I find the 4G data speeds beat the pants off Verizon's 4G speeds when I'm in town and have coverage. T-mobile has free tethering and if you buy a phone that supports it you can do WIFI calling. I have a Nexus 5 which doesn't support that.

Would it be nice to have coverage like I used to have with Verizon? Yes but now my bill is down from $120/month with Verizon (2GB data + tethering + phone under contract) to t-mobile $80/month (individual plan 2.5gb 4g data + ~$17.5/mo phone payment). When I switched t-mobile offered corporate discounts which my company had with them until t-mobile got rid of them but I like supporting the underdog and they are the reason there's competition in the wireless market now after years of people getting bent over. If I did it again I'd spring $400 for the Nexus phone in one chunk and then I'd just have a $60/mo bill + taxes of course.

When it comes down to it 95% of the time I'm in town and coverage isn't a big deal. When I go on trips it can be a mild annoyance to not have coverage but honestly I get by and it barely bothers me now.

Virizon is showing $55 for 2gb/month and you can get the bridge data for $5/10 more if you need it. I just want to know if those are real numbers? Is there gonna be an ass load of fees attached to my non contract phone if I buy the damn thing out right? These fuquers have a sneaky way of confusing a person and it kinda gets me worked up.

They give you these numbers if you do prepay, which I will do using my CC. Works wonderful with Sprint.

I'll say the word "porn" again to keep the conversation going:)

The last I saw on Verizon's site for an individual plan was $60 for 1 GB with a 2-year contract and a free/zero cost phone. 2GB is $75/mo with a 2 year contract. That doesn't include tethering and I didn't see a way to add tethering to the single line plan though.

That doesn't include taxes though which is always about $5 a month more too for any carrier.
