I got to bring in the new year at work with some of my patients thinking the fireworks were someone shooting outside their windows:rolleyes: Fourth of July and New Years is always interesting to say the least.

Some fuck in my neighborhood keeps smoking out I smell it at least once a day...was heading off to work early today as the wife was leaving, 3 o clock in the afternoon, we both stopped and could smell it...pretty sure it's the neighbor next door, his son just got back from college and all his buddies keep coming by...was like 5 cars parked out front and one dude was walking around out front all smiles. Sigh.

Not that I don't mind it, I like the smell at times, but there's alot of kids in the neighborhood and this was like someone was blowing the stuff in my face, so at 3pm, probably not the best time to be hot boxing a garage lol

We always load up on patients when a holiday rolls around. Family members needing a break or just dumping Mom, Dad, or Granny. couldnt hear a thing at 00:00. Guess we just have thick walls.
May Day is the real interesting day of the year in my area

I'd go upload police sirens and play it real loud for about 10 seconds and watch them freak out! Haha.

Upload what lol I may or may not have a police siren built into my PA system that my brother in law (LEO a few counties over) finds hilarious lol. I've considered using it a few times in the neighborhood, especially when some of the kids with attitudes continue playing Basketball next door as I'm coming or going, despite me slowly trying to get by and evening blipping my horn once or twice, they stand in the middle of the road pretending they don't see me. Takes alot of self control not to throw all my lights on, turn the sirens on and tell them to GTFO of the way lol. Or just when I smell the neighbors smoking pot lol

I just don't want that reputation in my new neighborhood just yet. If this crap continues, maybe in a year I'll be that asshole lol, but I try to live and let live

Belated Happy New Year to my night shift friends. Sorry I didn't make it by here last night.
Gov't (civil service) treats it the same way. Does seem odd. :notsure:

    That's very cool ... And Cha-Ching

    :woot:

 But that's oddly entertaining, and a little sad.

Back on shift tonight for 1, then off another three ... Holiday sched worked out nice for me. Working a full 5 shift set next week is gonna be tough

    Be back tonight.

Just saw this thread, even though I'm only on here at night. I work at a VA hospital and do 7 nights on, 7 nights off. I usually spend my 7 days off hunting or spending time in the woods for one reason or another. I'll try to check this thread and see what goes on here.

    Back at ya, Rob!

Running this boiler house solo, you can build up a lot of paperwork, which, as you know does not take holidays off, can get behind. I'm on top of it now.

Hopefully tonight I can goof off on the internet a bit more.

    10 minutes 'til clock out.

    Color me gone.
