I've forgotten the plug a couple of times, but I didn't think it was too big of a deal since I realized it before much water got in. I just reached over the back of the boat and put it in.

Hah, my first car was a 1996 Mustang Cobra. The thing was a bit of a piece when I got it, and I was always fixing something on it (yeah.. fix or repair daily). I had a problem with getting dead batteries, and I couldn't figure it out. I replaced the battery several times, changed the connections to the battery, the alternator, everything! Finally, I decided to rip apart the car with a friend who owns a dealer (car died on the way, and he came to tow me to his place). After a full day of following lines and little demons, it turned out to be that I didn't have the new connections to the battery tight enough. Tightened them up, and it never had a problem again, lol

I wish mine was that easy to do. Its metal and screws in and you have to raise the outdrive to get to it. I'm just lucky that I didn't drop it like I usually do...

guranteed i have done something similar but i don recall now :spy:

brings to mind when i used to work in a canadian tire (department store for those who dont know). countless people would bring back chainsaws and start havin hissy fits at some of the customer service personelle because "they dont start". needless to say some got returned but the only problem was because the customers didnt flick the safety sheild/guard forwards. we kept one for store use too and when my boss told me to use it to cut a broken wooden pole off i thought of that and laughed. for some odd reason the customers always got this "fuck i look stupid" look when i flicked the handle forward and fired it up in the store first pull. never failed ;)
