When I was 20, one of the guys I worked with had an Xtra Cab Turbo diesel 4X4. He would borrow my motorcycle and I would use his truck.......First Toyota truck I fell in love with.

sorry for the thread revival, but I have an opportunity to buy a 1985 Turbo diesel 4x4 here in NC. Truck runs and drives great and needs nothing mechanically, but the exterior has some pretty bad rust on the bed.

Considering the rarity of these diesel 4x4's, would you buy it for less than $3000 even with the rust? I'm thinking flat bed.
