Just a thought here. What do you guys and gals think about have some sort of lottery? We can set up some type of paypal account to hold all the money?(maybe) and have monthly drawings. There is a website....random.org that I have seen people use on youtube for giveaways. Just enter the list of names and hit the button, and a winner is picked.

Of course, I think it would have to be recorded via a webcam so that everyone knows its real and legit.

Just at work and bored....tell me what you guys think?

    Or could this be illegal?

It's a neat idea but it may be to involved to mess with. It would have to be a moderator to make a paypal account and keep track of who entered, In a perfect world it would be cool, but I dont think its practical

Guess we can discuss that after we decide.

Nothing major.....would be a good way for some of us poor folks to get mod money!

If we have a volunteer to head it up, then start a new thread at the 1st of each month. Give every one like a week to get in and give the money. Then take the names to random.org...enter them and it will pick a random winner(thats in the first post)

I don't think this will take off to the extent we'd need it to in order to get enough money out of a 'jackpot' to mean anything.

    Also, I doubt it's legal.

A lottery for aftermarket parts is IMO more fun. It would also keep trolls from profiting from a lottery. Some other forums I've been on have done this and it can get pretty interesting. You'll get a different group of people each go around depending on whats offered.

That's what I was thinking. Each month there could be a give away Everyone would put in $5.00 and have a chance at something. Only one chance per family.

The way to get around all the legal stuff would be to give out parts instead of $$$. Sort of like a raffle. Other than that its absolutely illeagle, unless you base it out of anouther country. Like canada, Mex, etc. Also, its too messy. Too much for one individual to take on. Good idea, but very impractical.

ya do the parts as the jackpot or something. Like depending how much money is raised, then whoever is in charge desides what the part will e. Or even have a pol on what the part should be.
