Well, I had a plan to replace the rear speakers in my access cab with two 8" subs, but have since rethought the idea. I'm going to do a single 8, and replace the rears with 3-ways, and the front with a component system. my question related to amp dimension, and what would fit best under the seats. I already have a NINe.2 from Elemental Designs, and a 8" sub to match that, but it seems like all the 4 channel amps I've seen are HUGE

Those panels are pretty kickass, but I'm not a huge fan of modifying and not being able to return back to stock. Plus having exposed components bugs me. I don't like people seeing what I have, and therefore wanting to steal it.

i have to agree on that..... when i had my bug i got mugged twice, stereo, speakers, disc changer, amps, subs.... all went away....

yup, thats about the only problem with those. Mine is perfectly hidden behind the space in the rear seats.

it seems kinda easy for a DIY don't you think?? the problem is the hardware though....

I've tried on 3 separate occasions to build that box myself, but could never get the dimensions or measurements right. I would always end up throwing the tape measure across the garage, and then drive to Wal-Mart and buy a new tape measure.
