Some Welding/Fabrication we have done...

I put this in off-topic because it is random fab work and not directly related to Tacoma's.

Just thought I would start a thread showing some of our(my brothers and me) welding/fab work.

It is basically three of us,

Chris (Mechanical Engineer, Welding/Fabbing for the past 9 years)
Scott (welding/fabbing for the past 10 years)
Ryan (me) (welding/fabbing for the past 9 years).


I worked at Norwood Performance for right around 4 years, when I started I was mainly doing service type work and engine work. I started fabbing here and there and after 2 years I was lead fabricator. Most of the work was fabbing twin turbo systems for Testarossa's and 308's with some random exhaust, intake and roll bar work tossed in. I can MIG and TIG but I prefer TIG.

Scott has mainly been on the 4x4 and slammed truck side of things doing 4-link setups, airbags, bumpers, sliders and things like that. Scott is the main MIG welder and his welds speak for themselves.

Chris spent most his time going through SMU to get his ME while working at Norwood Performance as well. He also fabricated but his main job was installing/wiring custom MoTec setups. He has plenty of real world experience which puts him way ahead of most engineers out there. He does most the design work in SolidWorks for anything we need.

Kinda been working on a logo for us lately, let me know what you think. I wanted it to look like the nameplate is welded to a brushed plate.



I will post a different project in each post so it is not one really really long post.

You need to start doing custom headers for Tacos. You'd make a killing.

EDIT: It's probably a bit below your talent but would you be interested in makings some sliders?

 

I thought about it but the price I would have to charge for a set would scare a lot of people away. Are people not happy with the Thorley headers?

 

Nothing is below our talent, We are up for building anything. I will be building some for my Tacoma within the next month or so.

People are fine with the Thorley headers, but having other options is always nice.

Just for fun, what, roughly, would a set of headers from you guys cost? Ballpark figure. I see quality in those pics, and I like quality. And I don't mind paying fair money for it. You can PM if you want.

Nope, no videos, just pics thus far.

It is definitely a beast. We would have preferred to do a full buggy but the owner wanted to use the existing blazer frame.

It looks like it is but it's not. We put it up on a rock again after seeing the pic to check and everything was good so I don't know if it was the camera or what...
