Help name my daughter

I do know alot of good looking Holly's...You know the name determines how good looking she gets. its science..

 

Whatever name you choose, my rule of thumb is try to think of the worst possible way that name could be used by mean spirited class mates, because they WILL do so.

For example (no disrespect to your unborn daughter, of course) but Layla could be used as "Hey Layla, I wanna Lay ya!!" or if you named her Patricia for example, and she ended up being even slightly overweight, they would call her Fatty Patty. Anyway, you get the idea.

I like Olivia, Chelsea, Brianna or Zoey as mentioned above. Something unique and classy at the same time.

 

Isn't Layla the one-eye'd girl on Futurama?

Why not name her.. Takoma...

 

A buddy of mine named his little girl "Emma".

 

I hated this girl that went to my high school named holly. Therefore I will always hate that name. Sorry.

 

I like Katlyn, but since its not an option I went with you and Holly

What will be the future child's last name? All things considered the last name is important when choosing a first name.

 

I know a girl named spencer the worst part she is a model so when you tell your buddies you have a date with spencer you never hear the end of it hahaha

All these comments about this "one time I knew a _____ ...." or the comments about how hot she'll be is exactly why I didn't talk about the names my wife and I picked for our child with anyone before hand.

People keep their negative thoughts to themselves when it's an actual person....

Of those two names I would pick Holly, however I've always liked the name Sara or Sonja for girls.

 

Phlopia or if it's a boy you can name him Testicleas

Let your wife have her wish, just let her name the baby and you smile and agree.

She has done more work than you to your child. And even if you won, you will pay for that victory for the rest of your life. Believe me, I lost and I am still paying for suggesting something other than her choice. Eight years ago I wanted to name my daughter Rachel instead of Rebecca, I still hear about it today.
