Recommendation for Hiking Shoes?

So, I am deploying again to The Suck. Last time I went, I wore my desert boots - but I have to admit that they were pretty uncomfortable all the time. I also took with me my Asolo hiking boots, but they were too thick and hot to wear - so they collected dust in my hooch.

This round, I decided I was going to pick up a pair of hiking shoes, such as these:

But - I thought I'd ask the TW family first, as I know that we have a lot of members from varying backgrounds - and I'm sure some that hike in hotter environments.

So, what I am looking for is a light-weight, breathable or vented, hiking shoe - something low too (no mid-highs, no hiking boots)...

Any ideas?

If you can, post name and pics if you have them and why you like them...

Merrells are nice they can be really hot on your feet at times though. I have a pair of lowa boots that I have hiked many 14ers here in CO with and never had any problems. I like the Lowas better but merrells are definitely more trendy. Brooks makes a good trail running shoe as well that are good for a hiking shoe.

Trail runners or cross trainers are my preference. Not boots at all.

If trail running is your thing I would check these guys out.
http://www.montrail.com/
Everyone I know that does all the mountain runs wear these, and they recommend them for all walks of activity level. If I was not partial to my Lowas I would get a pair. You can find them at a steal of a price on steepandcheap.com every now and a again too.
