Go Pro Hero HD

since my family lives so far away, we celebrated christmas over thanksgiving. so they all chipped in and got me the hero HD camera:

the video is really good, but it seems to have a hard time showing details in shadows. there is an exposure setting so i will have to play with that to see if i can get more detail in darker areas. the audio comes across pretty good too, but you can easily pick up wind noise. there is, however, also a full enclosure case so i think that would block out some of it. i picked up a 32gb sd card for the camera, but i may have to get additional cards. 9 minutes of video took about 1.5gb so thats about 192 total minutes of video. although... thats longer than the battery lasts.

Pretty cool man. I've been looking at getting the same one. I'd like to mount it to my bike to film some of the stupid things/crashes that I do on the bike. There is also a suction cup mount that I think would be good for off roading with the taco.

I'm just waiting for it to be on sale then I'll pounce!

^That qualifies as more stupid than any of the crap that I do. Most of the time it's just very sketchy terrain, crazy descents, and hitting trees. I don't do jumps. To be honest, I'm amazing as long as my wheels are touching the ground. I'm highly unstable in the air.
