thought id start a thread for fellow wakeskaters and wakeboarders to post in about new boards, equipment, winch spots and anything to do with either sport. tips, tricks, how too's jsut post! we could set up ride days and stuff locally. i do quite a bit of wakeskating on Lake McQueeney and see all sorts of modded tacos out at TSR regularly.

i ride a first gen Ronix Zariel 42 wakeskate and have been on the ledge with a remote or water monstors skate.

post up if you rip the wake!:D

No clue what wake board I have, it was a $200 Boat's US Special, but I enjoy it and enjoy riding. Haven't done it in a while and it should be much easier to get up this season now that I'm 40 pound lighter.

I ride a Hyperlite Parks 138 with Parks bindings behind a Glastron 185 with a Skylon Swoop tower. I also ride behind my friend's Boston Whaler Duantless 16 with just a ski pylon. I broke my ankle on this board back in 2009 and didn't see much action for a while, but I have been going out almost twice a week this summer. I can do grabs and I have started riding goofy a little bit, gonna start trying some 180*'s and 360*'s soon.

Here are some pics from the last weekend.

Liquid Force Trip. It's about 7 years old now, but I don't go hard like I did years ago. Too many past injuries; knee surgery, broken wrist and ankle, blown eardrum, dislocated shoulder. I try to keep it to small jumps now. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1343177991.557731.jpg

I ride a CWB Faction 144 board (I think it's a 2007 or 2008 or so) with newer CWB Vapor boots. Very happy with the setup, and I'm usually pulled behind my buddy's 385hp Regal 2500 with a no-stretch barefoot tow rope. Gets me up with no problems. It's always in the salt water so conditions are always hit or miss and we have to get our runs in way early in the morning.

The time I was on glassy smooth freshwater, the boat was a sweet older Moomba but the tow rope left something to be desired. It snapped pulling me up the first time, but I made the best of it.

I broke my ankle wakeboarding after tequila shots. Had to be dragged back onto the boat. No more wakeboarding after tequila.

Make that 50 pounds lighter and I'm going out this weekend with friends. Took me long enough. Glad to see this thread getting attention.

Damn, I miss wakeboarding. I was pretty into it for about two years until the gas prices got outrageous. I rode a higher end CWB behind a Malibu Wakesetter, Tige, Mastercraft, and Nautique. It worked out because I met some folks w/ boats on a wakeboard forum and just had to pitch in for gas.

im stoked as hell this thread was revived haha i just about gave up on it...! ive been riding quite a bit lately. i usually shred behind a yamaha jet ski (vx cruiser) or my buddies 210 super air nautique 210 team! ive been working on wake to wake and grabs lately. i feel for everyone that has injuries caused by wakeboarding... i shattered everything in my right hand and lost about 25 to 30 degrees of flexion in my right hand. if i hadnt lost my go pro on the lake id have some good videos but hopefullly in the next couple weeks i can get a good photo or video soon!!

Im just stoked this thread is getting some attention! keep the posts coming in!

Funny, that's how my wife learned. We were out at a Mexiczn place for dinner on a Wednesday night and after a few and some tacos, she says, "I'm gonna get up on that wakeboard. " I said, "Awesome, I can't wait for this weekend!" she says, "No, right now" So we drive to the lake, and whaddya know, she pops right up on the first try.
Tequila is funny stuff that way. It can go so right or so wrong in just a second!

Well, I was cutting back and forth clearing the wake. I cut too hard the last time and went flying out of control and the nose went hard into the water.

I had about 14 attempts at a 180 yesterday, and today I feel like I was in a boxing match. I came really close to landing it. I'll get it next weekend and then try a 360.
