coolest animal you have seen in the wild

I was driving home today thru Natick Ma down near the Charles river and saw a golden eagle. It was just over the tree tops and I watched it for a few seconds. That can't be any other bird as it is simply gigantic and majestic. I started calling people just to tell them. It made a hawk look like a pigeon

 

Saw a mountain lion chasing a deer up at our cabin near Durango CO when I was 14 years old. I was out behind our property about a mile up the road near where there are only hunting cabins, and heard the crashing of the deer through the scrub and only about 50 feet up the hill on my left. On its tail was the mountain lion. They bounded over the ridge and disappeared.

 

I've got three that I thought were really cool to see

Timber wolves
Leopard

 

Coyotes and bear. Bears are entertaining to watch

probably a fox me and my dad saw when we were hunting a while back.
he would hide behind something, peak his head around, see us and trot a little closer, he kept doing that untill about 10 feet away, and in plain sight. i held a quail in my hand to him to see if he would come and get it, he wouldnt get closer than 4 feet of me, so i tossed him the quail, he grabbed it, and trotted away.
he was a really good looking fox and the only one i have seen in person.

Also saw Orcas about 20' away, while visiting the San Juan Islands. Amazing sight.

i was in New Zealand in 7th grade and saw a Kiwi running across the road at night. Theyre nocturnal birds and cant fly

I live on a lake that is home to a couple large bald eagles, and I live close to the san juans and go out a lot and see orcas once in awhile

My family and I vacationed up north in B.C. for years. (Anahim Lake and Bella Coola) I loved the drive. We would hike into some pretty remote stretches of creeks and rivers to fish. On one section of the Dean River we came upon the Grizzly .. luckily we were down wind and the river was noisy. We got to the truck took a few photos, see if I can find them.

 

This thing called a Kinkajou. He ate all my food in my backpack then fell asleep, when we went to leave in morning he crawled out. Our tour guide offered him a fig, then he literally hung off his arm for about a mile into our hike. Then he scampered off into the jungle.

 

I was a little surprised because Natick is a suburb of Boston, far cry from Yellowstone.

last year I had a fishercat follow me and my dog while walking down near the river one afternoon. Those things are flat out evil, I want no part of them at all.

 

I was really suprised to see a bald eagle here in CT last week. But coolest animals were probably black bear, moose, wild horses all on a roadtrip to alaska
