Before we tore into it with the sander

Got rid of the pinch weld on the back

The top that had all the holes

Hedman Header we picked up for $50

Greasable Shackles for front and rear, we also got new lift springs

Painted plastics for seats, and console, kick panel, etc. Seats are being redone

Lockright

I'm in college right now too, and I learned from my dad, and he learned from his dad, I had an old chevy before this, and bodywork, and bondo, I got a lot of practice in on that truck. Welding, just kind of learned as we went, as my dad and I aren't experienced welders, but can now lay down a respectable weld. I'd say the best way to learn, would be in my experience, hands on, small project.

Got new Outlaw II lookalikes and 35'' BF Goodrich KM2 Mud Terrains

Got the rear end out, to bead blast it and get ready for the gears, then set it back in to see the lift mocked up. Also took off the front end (fenders, hood, and cowl)

Do you still have the push pull steering box? Cant tell from the pics. The IFS steering box upgrade is a must do to the 84 and down runners and trucks. When you do that, you can push your front axle forward a couple inches so it doesent eat up your wheel well.

Good progress so far

Yeah it still has the stock steering, we put the drag link on, but we need the IFS box, do you combine that with high steer?
