Really dig the mount over the mirror. That's how I did mine as well.

You need to sack up and drill the roof!! :D

Just messing with you though ;) not sure how that would work with the roof rack and all. I'm 100% happy with my NMO stud in the roof on the taco. I get better performance out of a unity gain 1/4 wave than I did out of a 1/2 wave on the bed. How is it with a 1/2 wave up high on the FJ? I'm debating a lip mount like that on my wife's Jetta wagon for road trips.

I had a diamond SG7500 in the middle of the roof on my old tacoma and it performed really well. So far with the setup on the FJ it seems to be doing just fine. because of the roof rack i cant use a NMO in the roof.

So far loving the icons, but the true test will be off road.

Yeah I remembered that. That's why I had to give you a hard time about it ;) It's de rigueur among the ham radio crowd it seems, lol.

    Truck looks great though!

Yeah... tires look a lot bigger on Tacomas. My 33's looked crazy little on the FJ.

No anti theft. but theyre up pretty high and they are a pretty cheap shovel and axe. If they get stolen then i will look into some way to lock them.
