Diamond Axle SAS, TRD FJ calipers and brembo rotors on all 4, FJ rear axle, 5.29's and elockers in both, 3rz swap and dual cases,4.7 rear case,00 taco dash, bobbed bed, soft topper, raceline beadlocks, fj cruiser steering wheel and clinometer, super white paint and 37'' kevlars. Much more but i will keep it simple.
Nice swap! Its nice to see Girls building rigs too! I have the TG 4'' springs and like em. the springs will settle a lot so be ready for the front to come down. If you set the shacke straight up like that in a few months it will be 15-20deg.

My truck had 4"fronts and 5" rears planning on getting a carrier and weight for tools. i also had a hard topper at set up.

When i went to wider axles i grabbed 4" rears and now it a tiny bit low in the rear with the carrier. Set up the shackles were straight. 2 months and 2 decent trips my shackles are back about 16deg now. in the rear. The fronts match
    [IMG]

Both are old pics..I need to get new ones. and both pics have 37's

^^^ That's a nice looking truck! Those 37s are bad ass.

That spot worked perfectly for the radio! I was worried about cutting up the inside of my truck, but I guess I'm too far past the point of returning it to stock now... Lol

Nope--not yet. I quit my job then started a new job, so I haven't had any time to work on the truck. I will probably start on the rear lift here soon...

Thanks! My vote is 37s for yours. My buddy ran 35 on his 95 sas like yours and went 37s this time and likes it much better

Thanks man! I posted it here too. If you wanna see anything else let me know. I can snap some pics if I don't have em.

37's would be cool! But, too many reasons to stick with the 35s--I don't want to start breaking stuff, and I worry it would be too underpowered on the highway.

I honestly think you will be fine you don't have a heavy foot. My stock toy axle never had issues, now on diamonds with mini truck knuckles and stuff I'm still having fun and not blowing it up.... Knock on wood. I ran 36's no gears on a 22r in Colorado for 3+ years. I know underpowered.

What other reasons are you meaning?

Yeah--underpowered sucks. I had giant tires on a 4 banger Tacoma for a while, and it was impossible to get on the freeway. Lol

Mostly I don't want to go to 37s because of the cost. (The tires are more expensive and I'd need to upgrade to longfields and chromolys.) Also, if it got any taller it wouldn't fit in my garage. And, I drive it on the street a bunch and really don't want to be underpowered--can't really upgrade from 5.29s.

I can understand that. I don't think with 5.29s you will have much trouble. I have 5.29s and 37s and even with the heavy beadlocks and tires I still can do 100+. If your front diff is open you won't have to worry about going 30splines jut don't beat the snot out of it and you will be fine. Keep in mind I'm also in co so elevation is not helping my power any.

As for cost I wanted 35s when I was first looking but going to a 36 the cost went down a bit. It got me over the 35" tire hump right away my buddy went from 35's to 37's on his truck and said he didn't notice. The axles made more differance due to wind on the highway fighting the big blocks of tread. If your looking used once over 35s its all about the same. I was looking at going to 42's and the cost is the same as a nice set of 35s if its all used. I'm sure you will like whatever you do I'm just sayin I think you will wish you went bigger

Awesome! The rear locker might be the best money I have put into the truck. Destroyed a u-joint, but that wasn't a huge issue. It is much more capable than it was before the SAS!

Niiiice! Yeah rear locker is probably the next mod after suspension.
    How'd you destroy the u-joint?

Yeah, the rear locker made the mud puddles way too easy! I'm not certain how I destroyed the u-joint--Just started clunking on my way off the mountain. I think I probably just did a terrible job of installing the u-joint in the first place. I really don't want to deal with it, so I will probably just have a shop fix it (some things are worth paying for... LOL.)
