And I most recently got a portable 12V battery with a cigarette lighter female plug so I can take the spotlight anywhere. It worked out very well.
Other than that, I haven't done too much since the new suspension went on about 6 months ago. Still have some fine-tuning to do with the torsion bars, though.
Sounds like a cool idea with the spotlight! Those torsion bars are tricky... I had cranked mine so much I cringed every time I saw a bump in the road.

Thank you! It's a million times better now. I have gotten quite a few compliments and it isn't even wired up yet...

Oh, cool. I'm usually around the tri cities/moses lake. I will have to keep an eye out for your truck!

I tried adjusting them a little when I put the suspension on, but I think I must have done something backwards. I haven't tried again yet, but I've been trying to find online information and it's very sparse or my searches have just failed. Can you describe in detail what you have to do to adjust torsion bars? I know you turn the adjusting bolt at the end of the tbar, but are you supposed to tighten the nut down on the bolt or loosen it to loosen the torsion bars?

Tighten it with a socket wrench. Make sure you do both sides equally, so count the turns. And, don't over do it, cause it really does stiffen the ride.

I read somewhere that you only need to turn the bolt and the nut on top should stay put. Is that right? I think the nut was turning for me...

I'm relaxing them so that it's a little more flexible, so I shouldn't have the stiffening problem

Yeah, to relax the bars you should be able to loosen the bolt. I didn't have a problem with the nut on top spinning. Can you hold the nut in place with a wrench or something? I'm not certain...

So I'm looking around for rear bumpers again and I found the trail gear bumper and the addicted offroad bumper. They look exactly the same...I know you have the trailgear bumper, do you know if there's any difference between the two? If you don't then I'll ask over on yotatech or something.
Also, do you have any pros or cons for the trailgear that you would like to share?

Edit: Just found a thread on TTORA confirming that Trail-gear and addicted bumpers are the same, so that question's answered :P

Yeah I read that somewhere on ttora I think. It wasn't in the description on addicted's website, but now I see it below the box where you enter your order info. Thanks!

Ya, Addicted just sells the Trail Gear one. He doesn't make a rear bumper for my year.

Shawman--Check out the Marlin Crawler one too. It looks pretty nice.

Yeah I saw that one. I'm not a huge fan of the way the side bars slope into the main bumper under the tail lights.
Now I'm trying to decide on plate vs. tube...to I match the sliders or my front bumper...

What choices are there for plate bumpers? I really like your front one, it would be cool to get a rear to match it.

The pickings are slim...so far I've only found a CBI diy bumper and a warn one. I want some sort of wrap-around protection, though, like the tube bumpers have, and neither of those plate bumpers have that, so I would have to take it to someone to modify it

I'd go with a plate one if I were you. But, that sucks you can't find one that wraps around more.

Yeah, that's the way I'm leaning, as well. I'll do some more searching, talk to some local fabricators maybe, and see where that gets me. I'm not in too much of a hurry to get one, but I think each time I've gone wheeling on a more intense trail I've hit the bumper...last time resulted in a deep dent in the body.
