Pete? What j00 talkin' bout foo?!

Called up ECGS and ordered a Spartan locker for the rear. I had planned to get one for the front anyways so I figured i'd throw it in the rear to see how it acts, if I don't like it eventually i'll put it in the front and probably go with the Grizzly out back. Spoota be here tomorrow so I went ahead and pulled the 3rd.

The trail we ran a few weeks ago when Matt P and Matt Reagan broke their birfs, pretty intense

And of course there HAS to be a problem. The ring gear is too thick to get the crosspin out. Im madder than a swarm of wet ass hornets.:mad::mad:

So in order to put a locker in I have to get them setup again. Words cannot explain how pissed off I am right not.

From what I gather 4.10's were thin, and 4.11's are obviously thick... Of course I ended up with 4.11's

You're right, thinner ring gears are totally less problematic.

Seriously though, if you have access to a press, you should totally just buy a master kit and set 'em up yourself. Only thing that's kept me from doing that on my R + Ps has been lack of proper tools/workspace.

Just the norm skids, sliders, & 35's
Even with 4.10s you have to remove the ring gear, it aint too bad to do. Just need a dial indicator to reset the backlash. You will need to heat up the ring gear to get it on, its a pretty tight fit.
