HAHAHA holy fuck thats horrible! Straight into the pond! I don't race track at all...but it looks like I need to start. It seems if you can manage to survive the race and not get hit by anyone you can make a top 5. That looks like a shit show haha. Im going to get out and ride some real tracks this year and see how I like it.

Sooo, I seems I'm about to have a full-blown freestyle setup soon! ordered the following on sunday:
    ProTaper Countour bars-ATV High bend

Black rear fender that I can chop enough to make it less vulnerable to breaking if I loop out or lawn dart

ASV F3 breakaway levers to cut down (hopefully eliminate) broken and bent levers.

52 tooth renthal rear sprocket, 12 tooth front, and Heavy Duty DID chain- gearing down so I can keep up with the 250's on hillclimbs

Carbon fiber sheets to wrap my forks in- mainly because carbon fiber looks badass.

I'm really excited to get this setup since it should be awesome for riding in the hills, not just for bro-points.
Not even sure if anyone follows this thread, but if you do stay tuned for pictures!

I have always used the CR high bend bars, I never liked the feel of anything higher. A lot of the pros do not cut the fenders anymore and some aren't even shaving the seat anymore. Andre Villa from today...

I can tell you're a Villa fan. He's definitely a badass. I never shaved my seat because i'm tall enough all it would do is make me less comfortable. As for the fender chop, I docked it about 3-4 inches to help keep from breaking it off.. already probably saved it a couple times.

My favorite racer at the moment is Davi Milsaps or Ryan Dungey, but I always root for Milsaps because he's always been an underdog. FMX I've gotta say Twitch for his badassery, Levi Sherwood because he's like a gymnast on a dirtbike, and Jarryd McNeil because of his whips.

Did some riding a few weeks ago. Turns out one of the guys I work with is dating a girl (who also works at our shop) who's dad is a huge farmer (25k+acres), who is going to let us build our own track out at their place with his brand new Cat payloader, brand new Cat skidloader, and early 70's D6 Cat. Needless to say, us being CAT techs and moto guys, we're stoked to be moving dirt! Pretty much a win-win!
