    Okay. So I decided on an engine build for the Daddywagon and apparently it's not real popular because of the availability of stroker kits out there. Many believe I would be wasting time and money on a long rod 351. So far I bought a set of connecting rods off ebay and dropped them off at the machine shop to be separated from pistons and cleaned and magnafluxed. If you google bing or whatever long rod 351 there's info and controversy about long rods vs short and benefits or lack thereof. I decided I am going to find out for myself.

    My uncle went with a 408 stroker kit for his 69 Mustang. It's not a daily driver, it gets taken out on summer weekends and he drag races it as well. It still has full interior in it, stereo system, etc, it's not an all out drag car. In the three years he's had it, I have not heard any complaints. The last time I asked about his 1/4 miles times, I believe he was doing low 13's at 5,000 feet altitude and he said the limitation he had at that time was traction, not engine.
