So Eric (Relentless) is going to cut me a couple different plates to use as the top of my frame side motor mount. Hopefully I can make something work.

Basically just a plate with a slot.

    Like this but hopefully cleaner.

non-eventful but I need something to look forward to

No portals. I'm not interested in expensive rare mog portals, volvo portals won't hold up, and portal tek took peoples money and ran IIRC.

Either way, as cool as they'd be, just too much cost and complexity.

    Dana 60 front
    14b rear

35 spline stubs are planned for now, we'll see how they hold up, and then I'd like chromo and 300m goodies down the road.

    So...

frame is already sleeved for the steering box and sticks out enough on inside that if I go with some 3/16 plate and leave holes big enough it should be flush when I weld it all.

Planning on plating inside from front crossmember back to body mount at the firewall with 3/16, then on outside plate just where the box is going to sit.

Frame is fully boxed from front to back.

I was going to run hydro boost (astro van and a 1 1/16 or 1 1/8 or possibly larger MC) but that's when I was thinking 14b disc brake conversion, since there's no good way to run an ebrake with that (fuck eldo calipers) I'm wondering, will the stock FJ80 1" MC be enough for dana 60 discs and 14b drums? I'll just run an electric vacuum pump. Would save a fortune and a lot of hassle. OTOH, hydroboost would clean up the firewall a bunch, but more plumbing and custom fitting of BS.

Disassembly and removal is the best part about projects like this. It's quite the de-stresser.
Especially when you don't give a shit about the stuff you're pulling out.
