worked on the inner part of the door, now finding hinges that are heavy duty and can hold weight any suggestions for the hinge?

I use these from my local welding shop. Around $2 to $5 ea, they also have them with grease fitting.

curious what you guys think one those hinges... if supported on two, do you think the big ones could handle the weight of a tire gate? and by tire gate I mean one that would ONLY be holding a tire to one side of the vehicle, not the long armed ones that reach to the other side and also carry gas cans and what not..

I don't like the single spindle design out of (as my dad put it) a pure mechanical engineering stand point. I know people run them all the time and most typically without failure but I also understand the reasoning behind why they SHOULD fail all the time... that combined with the fact that I know my rear bumper is a little under built and I'd much rather do a two hinge setup... just haven't decided on what type of hinges to use yet

I hope so! i wish I knew where the thread was but I've seen it done already on a second gen truck. basically, there are tube sections that attach at the forward most section of the high clearance bumper (near the wheel) and then wrap around and above the light. the top hinge goes there and the bottom on the bumper itself.. if all that makes sense..

anyway, do y'all think those bullet hinges could handle the weight/stress if two were used?
