    Looking great Jerry!

I ran the controller this weekend on the way to Jambo towing a 3300lb trailer. I only had one complaint about the controller. When you completely let off the brakes at low speed the trailer brakes would releas slightly after the truck brakes. That makes for a small bump forward from the trailer.

The controller is extremely easy to adjust to the trailer. If you change the weight you can easily adjust the amount of brake pressure. I'd say you can't go wrong with it.

Jerry I'm wondering why you skinned the inside rather than the outside?

I was wondering the same thing actually. Looks great regardless, just curious as to why you made that decision.

I planned no skinning the outside when I put it up there i just didn't like it. I think it was just too long of one flat piece it looked odd to me I liked it much better with the tube exposed and the sheet on the inside. Maybe if the sides had a bend or two it would of looked good to me but i just didn't like it. Also having the tube on the out side leaves more options for mounts. And no matter how careful you are 16 gauge will ripple some from welding and this hides the slight ripple that's in the sheet after welding.

how do you plan to attach them to the tube? hardest part on my trailer is keeping the door watertight. looking for ideas for when the rebuild comes. i was thinking aor marine door seals, but their attachments methonds can make it tough to use depending on the type.

Just a strip of sheet metal attached to the tube to slide over like you would a pinch weld on a car.

    ...too much shit to list.
I like that you skinned the inside for that very reason. Your trailer is a lot taller and the tube breaks it up nicely.

FWIW, I just stitch welded the skins. No ripples. Just ran seam sealer inside and out to keep the elements out.

I agree. Plus, inside, you still get the sense of badass whereas a giant box is just a giant box.

Yeah I really like it like this it's all about contrast!

I staggered single tacks on the panels at least a foot apart. I could touch the first tack with a bare hand by the time i got back to it. I panels didn't warp too much I mean I can see it but most wouldn't and I'm coating it with a matte silver texture so it will be even less noticeable. The tube is what moved a lot seeing how the top is not attached they just moved in as I tacked. If I can't push it back out I'll just weld the top on and say fuck it!
