Before you swap the coils, make sure you have a way to remove the stock lower coilover bolt. I had to run out and buy some sockets, none of which fit right, to get it off. My 400ft/lb gun wouldn't loosen it... tho I was using a smaller hose than normal. Took a lot of work to get those f'ers out. At one point my skinny ass was bouncing on a 2ft breaker bar with no luck

The only spot I had rubbing issues was that plastic crap below the bumper... before the lift. I ran the tires for a few weeks and it would brush it. I have no rubbing now. Flex test was how I checked the full lock/stuff clearance. Its really close to the plastic by the firewall but it dosnt touch

Here's a better pic of the front flex. Think I took one of the rear... ill dig around later

front flex is looking good i must say, the front of your rig makes me want to remove more plastic up front on mine.. sliders are looking good to, nice and simple and clean, i like them.

placed my order with fox, coilovers pre set at 2 inches, perfect for me. will remove the sway bar once these are installed. lucky for me the dealer owes me the install so i don't have to get in there and do it myself! the lower mount has changed for the 2014's not sure why or how as i haven't actually looked at the difference. this was all part of the deal when i bought the truck. ordered some pro comps that measure out to 29.8 extended for the rear that have 12.5 inches of total travel. should do the trick.

i'll get a pic of the rubbing spot, it's not the tires but metal to metal contact at full lock down just at the wheel under the lower control arm. need to see if there is a way to adjust the steering to it doesn't go quite as far each way, say a quarter turn. however this may also change when the crap spacers are out and the proper parts are in.

Had a few people ask me about the ebay led's. So I did some new comparison shots. These are the lights in question: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-x-4-18W-...4WD-JEEP-BOAT-ATV-SUV-WORK-LAMP-/261495427792

I think the LED's look brighter due to the white balance on the camera. They are definitely dimmer than the photo below. Though bright, they are no use if you only run them say... on the highway. They are really wide so they dont throw far

Lets see how good these things work next time I get stuck. They fit in my bed toolbox so I dont have to worry about mounts :D

nice! i've been thinking about getting some of these myself. they seem to work well in all the videos i've seen but never seen them in action. once i used the old foldable steel types that a buddy had, they did the trick but were big and heavy. can i ask where you ordered from?

    perfect thanks.

was just looking back to your pics that show your add a leaf and the lower rear shock, wondering why you mounted them with the exposed shaft closer to the ground instead of putting that part at the top, since both mounts are the same they can be either way? i didn't order dust boots for my shocks either but was planning to mount them with the exposed shaft at the top.

Dont think the tube clears the axle/mount if you flip. I didnt run boots on the Yota's exposed shafts and it didnt get pitted, so im not worried about it

Could you take a picture or explain what did you do to mount the 30" light bar behind the grille? Did you buy a mount or fab something up to attach to the lower support piece? I like that mounting spot for LEDs, looks clean.

And the bed rail lights. Used a set of bully rings. Made a piece of steel to fit down inside.

Got one slider painted and on this weekend, the other one's tacked up and ready for gussets and welding.

Also started the experimental hdpe skids. Not sure how these will work out but ill keep the info here like I did with the aluminum skids I did for the yota... which worked great btw. The 1/2" hdpe seemed just as tolerant to weight as the leftover 1/4" aluminum I have. All the info I have from race teams say they either skin the backside with a solid piece of steel, or do a skeleton type framework. To keep things lighter I opted for the framework. If its shit... which it might be. I might try some steel sheet behind it. Granted im not going to be launching the truck into rock gardens it may be just fine :crapstorm:

wow! looks like a bit of work but will pay off i'm sure. i bottomed mine out and put a dent in the exhaust and cross member last wknd.. then i got to thinking that big open hole with the transmission exposed needs to be covered. wish i had the space to have the tools to work on things like you. nice work!

just got my truck back with the fox coil overs an hr ago, so far so good, they sit higher than the 2inch spacers with the setting from factory, soon as i get home tonight the pro comp rears go on. had to ask dealer to back off the lower shock bolts, my 200ftlb cordless impact wouldn't budge them, figure when shop did add a leaf they must torqued the F outta them bolts after..

Yea... worried about a stump or log poking up there out at the property. The rears... cant remember how tight they were. I guessed when I stuck them back together.

do you get much or any noise out of your rear leafs? i get a lot with my add a leaf, did a few things and still getting too much noise. had ome dakars before and they made a good amount of noise but this is louder more abrasive noise.

on a good note i'm finally enjoying the way the truck drives with the fox fronts and pro comp rears. never thought i would buy adjustable coilovers but the options didn't give much choice for a few reasons. well worth it though.
