Bought some r6 handlebar switches from ebay since in stock trim this bike is titled for offroad use only.
Luckily its pretty easy here in ohio to convert one to Street duty if you know what hoops to jump through.

Had to run a + from the r6 switch to the factory headlight harness so I have a hi beam.

Found this complete set on Craigslist a couple States over for $500 with tires, luckily the owner shipped them to me.

got them test fitted unfortunately the spacers are the wrong ones as well as the caliper relocating bracket for the 320 front rotor. no big deal, I mean I got the whole set for 500 bucks when in reality there's about $1,500 worth of stuff here. Called excel got my needed spacers for $35 the guys at motostrano sent me a new relocation bracket for a $100

Seems to work pretty good. Definitely going to need a speedometer and a set of fork seals.

Got this from my homeboy Ash out at Christini all wheel drive. They make 2 wheel drive motorcycles out there and these were left over from last year. It has all the indicator lights I need -oil pressure, signals, hi beam as well as they odometer and trip odometer.

Noticed she smokes a little bit. I figured now would be a good time to put some rings in it.
This thing had a very hard life previously, it was a former GNCC race bike. I don't know if you've ever seen any of their videos but those guys are pretty crazy..
I figured now would be a good time to pressure wash the frame even more thoroughly and I got half of a five gallon bucket of crud out of the frame gussets where the motor sits.

I bought some 2006 YZ cams to put in place of the stock WR ones. they're supposed to make a huge difference.

did a few other odds and ends while it was down, plasti dipped the side panels, rebuilt the forks.. I must say she runs like a scalded dog now.

I really wasnt happy with the stock suspension. I picked up a set 08 SSS yz forks and sent them and my shock out to a suspension shop for rebuild, re sprIng and revalve. Should handle like its on rails now.

figured now would be a good time to add some blinkers.

That's real nice. I've looked at converting mine to road tires now that I use my 250 off-road. Already added the street kit. I like the r6 switches you have versus my crappy Rocky Mountain atv ones. Maybe I can find a smaller front wheel and ditch the 21".

    Thanks gents.
Its definantly the most fun you can have on two wheels. Too bad the thing wants to destroy my driving record lol and not to mention that its a cop magnet. Ive got two reckless op tickets on it so far.

Around here at titled bike goes for significantly more than one that isnt titled.
Most don't realize how easy it is to get the title switched over.
