Here is how my Pickup sits as of 4-28-13:
Well I finally decided to keep track of my progress and start a build thread.
Long story short I was looking for an old pickup or cheap first gen for a project pickup, came across a 93 in Colorado in great shape, little/no rust, and LOW miles (81,700 original when I bought it). I called the guy to finalize details about the truck, get pictures, ask questions and decided to commit. Found out after it was delivered to me that there were over 30 internet inquiries on it and about 7 or 8 people had already come in saying they'd buy it as soon as they had the money, I just happened to spring the dough first :D
I'll try to be as detailed as possible for anyone doing some research.

These are some of the pictures I got from the dealer a state away while i was negotiating. It had stock wheels/tires (28") and I had them put on the 31s off another Toyota Pickup they were scrapping because it was too rusty.
You can see the rear wasn't horrible, just sagging a little.
Interior was almost like new, door panels are coming off I guess
I had it delivered and replaced a few things right off: lower balljoints, front pinion seal, front main seal, and idler arm.
Was a wee bit dirty under the hood but not bad at all
Size comparison with the 2012 :D turn radius is lovely!
And South Dakota Parking haha he actually was loading his groceries as I pulled away with my brother and didn't look to happy as his truck rolled forward while I pulled back. May have pushed on it too much :cool:
No Cut ZUK Springs [100# rated rather than the usual 125# that most use]
Installed those between the rear bumpstops along with OME shocks and steering stabiliser:

Wheels were shipped quickly and packaged really well, great customer service
Tint 35% on sides (I don't get why people go lower than 35 on the sides and 20 anywhere else personally :rolleyes:)

Having the 17" blades vs the 15" from before is great and I am very pleased with my first set of Siliblades, spendy but a great product thus far
AND new wheels and tires are on, perfect fit and the lighter weight makes a huge difference when your pushing 119hp with a 22re
Working on my retrofit now but my lenses cracked in the oven :mad:
Well, there are a ton of pictures, not much of a build as I don't ever take pictures as I'm installing things but it will continue to come along.
I'm installing the header and cat back later this week, finishing my retrofit and looking for a CD Player here next. The rest is on my TO DO list, stay tuned :D
I'm open to any suggestions as well. One thing I'm thinking is I'm pretty sure when I'm done with the exhaust and intake manifold/throttle body it will be way too loud for me. Resonator?

Any tips on lumbar support for the bench? I am 80% disabled and have a horrible back.

All parts are in, NEED A RESONATOR to say the least, maybe a little bigger muffler. More annoying than I anticipated haha but the difference is in throttle response is more than butt dyno noticeable and getting up those hills in 5th is significantly easier. less downshifting around too to make it up certain hills too, here are some pics, more to come :D
drives great, not horribly loud but definitely more annoying than I personally like.
Any reason you left the cat in place? I probably would have just scrapped that thing out. Is that an 18 inch magnaflow?
Its a new cat, 12.5x2.25 from LCE so MF
I plan on using an 18 in MF on mine, they typically have a much throatier and quiet note. You may consider upgrading, or putting a small glass pack somewhere in your current setup.
My bad I took your statement about the cat and question about the muffler as just talking about the cat. I'm going to try a resonator probably then get the same muffler I had on my old truck if that doesn't help. Either way its only going to get louder as I open up the throttle body and intake manifold a bit

Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator should be here Monday-ish. There's not a lot of room between the pipe and the frame but I hope to mount it after the header and before the cat. Will post up if I am satisfied with the result asap.

Had to kind of hack job it all to make it fit haha the cat was where the resonator is. Had to swap them positions because the resonator wouldn't fit up by the t'bar
Mucho quieter, still a bit of cackle from the super powerful engine but it was like that even before the header and everything.
More to come after the holidays :D someone has to buy me something so it'll probably be me!
Not bad for a 20 year old Pickup. Got another 3-400,000 in it I hope :)
Headed for a few hundred mile road trip for the holidays tomorrow. Looking forward to see how the new set up handles the usual hills on the highway, what the gas mileage is looking like now, and how the new lightweight wheels and tires contribute. The resonator really help but I'll roger up on any highway drone or anything. I'm very happy with it as is. May do some sound deadening at most if it's too much. That is all for now. To sleep with me, early start tomorrow.
