I can vouch for this. I went to visit him in the hospital (well mostly to see his smoking hot wife). Dude really almost died.

Ben, have you seen the DOT approved fog lights yet? Wondering if they'll come in the same housing as the srq2. If so I'll be getting a set of them when they come out.

Just 6" E series and duallys. I'll be getting some to replace my headlights.

Are the Duallys the ones people use for ditch lights on the hood mounts? How much are those

You're going to use them as headlights? Is that legal?

They're DOT approved so yeah. I have had a headlight out for more than a year so E 6" "fogs" will be way better than what I have.

What makes them DOT approved? The beam pattern? Are they a lesser light output now? Can I swap my 40" Light Cannon for a DOT approved one and drive with it on roads in normal traffic all the time? Then when I get pulled,

HEY, F U! THEY ARE DOT APPROVED!!!!!! SEE, READ THE STAMP. NOW BACK UP OFF MY 1,000,000,000 LUMEN STAR I AM DRIVING AROUND. YOU CAN'T MESS WITH THE SUN! I'LL BURN THAT TICKET, COME ON, GET CLOSER. WATCH IT VAPORIZE IN THE LIGHT!!!!!! (read it out loud with a baptist preacher voice)

Lol I think height restrictions and maximum amount of lights active laws still apply.

But yes the beam pattern makes them DOT. And no they should not be reduced lower lights. They are essentially D2 hyperspots with a modified beam. Same lumen output as hyperspots.

I'll post a pic tomorrow but these have a very strict cutoff. I'm curious how its achieved because all I've seen is basically a hyperspot lense with a diffused polycarbonate lense over top of it. All I know is theyre amazing and they have absolutely FLOWN off the shelves. We've sold over a hundred pairs already. I barely snagged xmods'.

I wonder what a hyper spot with a diffused lenses would do normally

The diffusion is just vertically, not like their standard diffused lens. Looks like the same method light force does with their lenses. Vertical diffusers = nice wide clean beam pattern. I can't science so I don't understand.
